Dennis Kucinich is inmiddels uit de race. Democraat Mike Gravel, Republikein Ron Paul en “het moedigste Congreslid,” Green Party-kandidaat Cynthia McKinney doen nog volop mee in de primaries.

Justin Raimondo is overigens milder over Barack Obama, voor wat betreft de oorlogslobby, in een aan Admiraal Fallon gewijd artikel op Antiwar.com:

As for Obama – he is with us, instinctively, but he may shy away from taking a more definitive stand on account of bad advisers, and, perhaps, a fear of going out on a rather creaky and insubstantial political limb. The Lobby, after all, is not inclined to support him, and will go all out against him if he gets in its way. Obama needs to know that if he stands up to the War Party, the people are with him.


Er is dus nog keuze voor onze Amerikaanse vrienden, “strategisch” stemgedrag niet meegerekend.
