In het nieuws vandaag:
Het lijkt een administratieve vergissing van een paar luchtmachtmedewerkers: een B-52 die per ongeluk drie uur lang met 6 kernbommen boven de VS vliegt.
Maar geplaatst in de context van de oplopende oorlogsretoriek tegen Iran, naar verluidt aan diverse neocon denktanks en media verordonneerd door “vice”-president Dick Cheney, krijgt zo’n nieuwsbericht, voor de goede verstaander, ineens een grimmige en huiveringwekkende lading.
Dat geldt al helemaal als je de diverse recente false flag-waarschuwingen, onder meer door Cindy Sheehan, bij het verhaal betrekt.
Terrorisme-expert Larry Johnson beschrijft op een bekend weblog zijn twijfels:
And how does someone watching a B-52 land identify the cruise missiles as nukes? It just does not make sense.
So I called a old friend and retired B-52 pilot and asked him. What he told me offers one compelling case of circumstantial evidence. My buddy, let’s call him Jack D. Ripper, reminded me that the only times you put weapons on a plane is when they are on alert or if you are tasked to move the weapons to a specific site.
Then he told me something I had not heard before.
Barksdale Air Force Base is being used as a jumping off point for Middle East operations. Gee, why would we want cruise missile nukes at Barksdale Air Force Base. Can’t imagine we would need to use them in Iraq. Why would we want to preposition nuclear weapons at a base conducting Middle East operations?His final point was to observe that someone on the inside obviously leaked the info that the planes were carrying nukes. A B-52 landing at Barksdale is a non-event. A B-52 landing with nukes. That is something else.Now maybe there is an innocent explanation for this? I can’t think of one. What is certain is that the pilots of this plane did not just make a last minute decision to strap on some nukes and take them for a joy ride. We need some tough questions and clear answers. What the hell is going on? Did someone at Barksdale try to indirectly warn the American people that the Bush Administration is staging nukes for Iran? I don’t know, but it is a question worth asking.
Hetgeen de doorgaans goed ingevoerde Michael Rivero, van What Really Happened, de volgende vraag ontlokt:
My understanding is that nuclear weapons are normally transported by rail, to prevent the sort of horrendous crash that might accidentally trigger a detonation, and because of there is a derailing, you know where to look for the weapon.
But when weapons are being transported by air, why not use a cargo plane and carry them inside?

Wellicht dat dit verhaal van een Amerikaanse marinevrouw in de Perzische Golf, over een op handen zijnde aanval op Iran wel degelijk een kern van waarheid bezit.
Alleen de directe aanleiding ontbreekt nog…nu de IAEA niet met de Bushies meewerkt.
Hopelijk hebben Johnson, Rivero en ikzelf het niet bij het juiste eind…en komt het niet tot werkelijke aanslagen en een nieuwe oorlog.

Dat was dan misschien een soort van afleiding dat er wel eens fouten gemaakt kunnen worden met atoomwapens? Je zou kunnen vermoeden dat we als publiek moeten wennen aan het idee dat een kernexplosie mogelijk is. Dat bericht over die Britse atoomwapens zou je inderdaad kunnen interpreteren als het opwarmen van het publiek voor het bovenstaande incident.
Maar het kan óók toeval zijn. Al geloof ik daar zelf al jaren niet meer in.

Ten eerste neem ik aan dat je 14 september bedoeld? En voor zover ik weet betekent “stand down” dat er niets de lucht in gaat, althans géén vliegtuigen.

Military admits bomber mistakenly flew nukes across country
WASHINGTON (CNN) — A B-52 bomber mistakenly carried six nuclear warheads on air-launched cruise missiles on a flight from North Dakota to Louisiana last week, prompting a major investigation, military officials have confirmed.
The plane took the cruise missiles last Thursday from Minot Air Force Base to Barksdale Air Force Base for decommissioning, but the warheads should have been removed from the missiles before they were attached to the B-52, according to military officials. The crew was unaware that they were carrying nuclear weapons, the officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the extraordinary sensitivity and security surrounding the case. The mistake was discovered after the plane’s six-hour flight to Louisiana.
Lt. Col. Ed Thomas said that while the military does not publicly discuss nuclear weapons procedures, in this case the Air Force decided to acknowledge the incident in order to reassure the public.
“The public was never in any danger,” Thomas said. But officials also said the incident was a major breach of security rules surrounding nuclear weapons. meeste van die links komen van http://www.democraticunderground.com een forum in USA waar veel nieuws besproken wordt, dat van die nukes vindt ik heel verontrustend, ook het feit dat Rusland zn spierballen aan het vertonen is.
zit me allemaal niet lekker waar USA op afstevend. een fasistisch regime is het aan het worden en niemand durft nog op te staan.

>Hoi Myrre, dank voor de tip. Op het zapruder-forum wordt deze trouwens besproken. Over het algemeen vinden mensen het nog te vroeg om conclusies te trekken, maar het is zeker nuttig om dit soort zaken te documenteren, zeker in het licht van de huidige terreur/osama/Iran-hype.
Overigens ben ik jammer genoeg niet in de gelegenheid om te flyeren vandaag, of morgen naar Brussel te gaan, al was dat oorspronkelijk wel het plan.
