{"id":922,"date":"2008-02-08T21:16:00","date_gmt":"2008-02-08T21:16:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/johnito.nl\/blog\/?p=922"},"modified":"2012-01-28T00:47:05","modified_gmt":"2012-01-28T00:47:05","slug":"television-the-drug-of-the-nation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/johnito.nl\/blog\/2008\/02\/08\/television-the-drug-of-the-nation\/","title":{"rendered":">Television The Drug Of The Nation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>><object height=\"355\" width=\"425\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/bvig4SAZBEs&amp;rel=1\"><\/param><param name=\"wmode\" value=\"transparent\"><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/bvig4SAZBEs&amp;rel=1\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" wmode=\"transparent\" height=\"355\" width=\"425\"><\/embed><\/param><\/object><\/p>\n<p><a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" href=\"http:\/\/3voor12.vpro.nl\/artiesten\/artiest\/3627072\">Michael Franti<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">, het laatste decennium vooral bekend vanwege <\/span><a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.spearheadvibrations.com\/\">Spearhead<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">, was begin jaren 90 geliefd op de alternatieve dansvloer met <\/span><a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" href=\"http:\/\/netherlands.real.com\/music\/artist\/The_Disposable_Heroes_of_Hiphoprisy\/\">Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">.<\/p>\n<p><\/span>Culthits van deze hiphop-act, die hij samen met Rono Tee vormde na zijn <a href=\"http:\/\/www.musicmeter.nl\/album\/58097\">Beatnigs<\/a>-tijd, waren o.a. de Dead Kennedys-cover <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/California_%C3%9Cber_Alles\">California Uber Alles<\/a> , <a href=\"http:\/\/www.actionext.com\/names_t\/the_disposable_heroes_of_hiphoprisy_lyrics\/famous_and_dandy_like_amos_and_andy.html\">Famous and Dandy (like Amos and Andy)<\/a> en Television, The Drug of The Nation (zie boven).<\/p>\n<p>In aanmerking genomen dat &#8220;Television&#8221;  stamt uit 1991, en een aanklacht leek tegen de platte Amerikaanse tv-cultuur, heb ik  het idee dat we in Nederland anno 2008 zo&#8217;n beetje hetzelfde probleem hebben&#8230;en in ieder geval allang het morele recht niet meer hebben om de Amerikanen om hun platte cultuur te verfoeien. Volgens mij is Nederland inmiddels zelf een grote <a href=\"http:\/\/www.parool.nl\/media\/2006\/SEP\/092906-picnic.html\">drugs-exporteur<\/a>  geworden.<\/p>\n<p>Ik hoef maar Gouden Kooi, Idols, Big Brother, Temptation Island, Dancing with the Stars, Peter en Joran en de huilende moeder, of Darthappen met Barney (of telt dat niet mee)  etcetera te roepen?<\/p>\n<p>Enfin: u begrijpt mijn punt.
